Join us for the High Holy Days

We have a lot to be thankful for during these Days of Awe.

Despite the pandemic and number of unprecedented challenges this past year, CKA has continued to provide opportunities for spiritual growth, support, connection, education, community outreach, and entertainment, albeit in a different manner than we had in the past. CKA continued to be there for all of us. But it has been financially challenging and we need your help. Membership dues only cover a portion of our operating expenses.

We also depend on fundraising activities which have been impacted too.

The prayer, Unetaneh Tokef, chanted during the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, begins with “On Rosh Hashanah it is written, on Yom Kippur it is sealed.” It continues by raising the question, “Who shall live, and who shall die?” The refrain then says, “But teshuvah (repentance), tefillah (prayer), and tzdekah (charity) temper the severity of the decree.” During the High Holidays we ask that you consider making a donation (tzdekah) to CKA, fulfilling one of your Jewish obligations, and as a way to financially support the synagogue to make sure that CKA will continue to be here in years to come.

You can use the DonorBox below or send a check to the office!
