Saturday Morning services now begin at 10 am,
30 minutes after the previous start time!

The building may not be open before-hand, and we don't want anyone to be alarmed, so please plan accordingly for this new Service Start Time!

Office Closed Tomorrow
The CKA and JCF Offices will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, June 12, in observance of Shavuot, and because of this, this week's announcements will be published on Tuesday. For more information on Shavuot Services, please see below!

Shavuot at CKA
Celebrate Matan Torah, the giving of the Torah by God to the Jewish People with the CKA Community. We will sing, pray, learn, and of course, eat yummy cheesecake! Pride Shabbat 2024
Friday and Saturday, June 28 and 29 at 7:30 pm and 10 am

Join the CKA Community to celebrate both Shabbat and the LGBTQIA+ Community the last weekend in June! Beginning on Friday evening, Stuart Trock will lead a musical service for Pride, with special songs and readings to celebrate Pride, the LGBTQIA+ Community, and other overlooked and marginalized communities!

Then join us Saturday morning, as this year's Pride Shabbat Team, Anita Adelsberg, Ben Futterman, Beth Herbst, Paul Soyn and Marietta Zaborsky will lead a Pride Shabbat service with readings and music celebrating the LGBTQIA+ Jewish Communities!

We look forward to seeing you there to celebrate with us!

Havdalah at the Lake

Everyone is invited to John and Liz’s cottage on Cayuta Lake. Come and swim, water ski, kayak, cruise and enjoy this special place. Please bring a dish to pass and your own beverage. Grilled chicken and hot dogs will be provided as an entree.

July JCF Film: 'Race'
A film about African-American athlete Jesse Owens, who won a record-breaking four gold medals at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games in the heart of Nazi Germany. Wear your red white & blue to the movie and enjoy some red white and blue-themed snacks!

Breath, Body, Mind: With Sheila Katz
Sunday, June 30, at 11:30 am

Taught by Sheila Katz, this hour-and-a-half class will teach simple techniques to reduce stress and anxiety, enhance concentration, and balance your emotions.

We ask that if you want to schedule an event at CKA or the JCF, that you first check the Calendar, then submit a Building Use Form to prevent conflicts and to make sure everything gets on the schedule!

Judaica Shop
The Sisterhood gift shop has their regular items
and cards in stock. The gift shop will be open any time the CKA office is open. If you have special Judaica needs, please contact Susan Seltzer.
